Treatment & Fees

What to Expect

The initial visit consists of a confidential interview which includes both a health and personal history intake, continues with a physical examination and consultation, then concludes with a treatment.  The first visit lasts approximately 1-1/2 hours, while subsequent sessions are generally 45 to 60 minutes. As a natural process of healing, a series of treatments are recommended for maximum benefit.

During the treatment the practitioner will insert anywhere from 2 to 20 super fine, sterile, disposable filiform needles into the patient to elicit the healing response.  Most insertions are just beneath the skin’s surface and the sensations felt vary from person to person.  Many people feel nothing at all, while others may feel a small pinch, tingling, or warmth.  The needles can remain in place for 10 seconds to 30 minutes depending on the course of treatment.

Treatments vary depending on the symptom and the person, most chronic problems require one to two treatments every week for about 6-8 weeks.  Acute problems usually require fewer treatments.  Some considerations for the duration and response to treatment include length and strength of the disease as well as the constitution and lifestyle of the individual.
